I mean Outlast isn't really a "horror" game, more like a "jumpscare and hide" type of game. Once you get the hang of it the scares got too old really quickly and becomes a chore instead. But yeah for first timers its definitely "scary".

Ive only been freaked out by one game and it was dead space 2. When you go back on the ishimura and you go into the medical bay. The part when you go into the medical bay through the hallway with the black light. It took me 30+ mins to work up the courage to go down the hallway.
