Yes. The more expensive one sounds brighter and projects notes clearer.

People say the difference isn't enough for the price difference. Consider this, it's more than sound its feel and playability. Now consider you may be playing this guitar the rest of your life.

The more expensive sounds louder and more complex, but the cheaper one also very nice and usable.

100%. The cheaper tanglewood has no upper end, just muffled bassy tones. The expensive one has a more balanced sound. It's night and day.

To me they both sound great. It's more about the player than the played.😂😂❤❤❤❤

The cheaper one has a warmer tone and the expensive one is much brighter. For the price difference I would be more than happy with the £99 one

I prefer the more subdued tone of the cheapy. Cannot believe the price.

In fairness the best tanglewoods are in the middle, I’ve had a solid top for nearly 20 years and it’s great.

They both sound good to be honest and everyone knows it, yet people will argue the more cost the better and that's just not always so. They're usually the same people that stand around a Picasso sketch worth $50k arguing how deep it is and how profound and it's a scribble on a piece of paper. I guess it's all perspective

Every experienced player in the world knows that playability and feel comes first. You want to feel invited to play and practice by your instrument, and you want it to not pointlessly tire you after 15 minutes of playing. And for this to happen you need the maker to pay attention to the details. Noone cares about the sound if you don't feel excited picking the instrument up. And that will never happen with a 99 $ instrument unless it's your first. So this comparison is pointless to begin with.
There is never any point in buying a 100$ instrument. It doesn't even retain its value, . Buy the expensive handmade one, and it will make and keep you happy for as long as you own it. And if you want to get rid of it at some point, chances are that it's value will have even increased

I have the Crossroads, great Guitar.I love it, it has character, personality, and sounds "real" .The other one however, is just another expensive Guitar .My Crossroads feels like an " Old Friend" .I've also got the Parlour version, a great little belter .🇮🇪 .

Seems to be more volume and a brighter sound with the expensive one, but they both sound good. Tanglewood are known for their good quality budget guitars.

The crossroad has warm tone as it is all mohogony wood, a hardwood guitar while expensive one has soft wood which increase bass and treble and gives bright and clear sound

Yeah, I can tell the difference but the player is more important than the guitar.

Both of them has an own sound and i think its a question what Song you are playing to choose one

I wonder how they would sound using the same nut, saddle and strings on both guitars?

£1099 is definitely better but I would still choose the £99 because it's worth it and justices the price.

Cheap one lacks definition but I liked the sound
