The technology of the mechanical arms alone would win him several Nobel Prizes.

Otto has surprisingly high pain tolerance. The fact all those needles when into his spine, where alot of nerves are and make only a slight flinch is impressive.

I like how before the presentation he casually whips out the most advanced prosthetics humanity has ever created, as the no big deal safety equipment

1:54 that very line is how he saved everyone from electro in no way home. Electro was basically pure energy. Andrew and Tom couldn’t web him. Otto was the only one who could grab him due to the resistance of the arms. Man I love Jon watts

“The power of the sun in the palm of my hand” this line gives me chills

17 years on, these arms still looks awesome. The design and the ominous music that accompanies them, I love it!

Alfred Molina's portrayal of Octavius was epic. I loved how the writers depicted him as a noble visionary unafraid to put himself on the line for his own inventions. His story in Spiderman 2 both tragic and brilliant. A fully fleshed out character with hopes and dreams, not a two dimensional madman.

1:12-1:23 what an actor. Molina brilliantly channeled the idea of taking control of a limb/limbs you've never used before. You can see on is face how he's trying to internally reach for the right muscle to pull.

I like how the arms aren’t even supposed to be the main highlight but the fusion reactor is, the arms are just a part of the lab equipments but they’re exactly what all the audience is waiting for lol

Something I love about Otto in this is how it parallels Peter. Otto was an individual blessed with great knowledge and power ended up lost in the height of his own achievements and those arms made him lose control of himself instead of using it to help others. Which works great with Peter’s own struggles and conflict in the movie.

1:31 I still get chills when Otto's Arms rise up with him. One of the most iconic moments out of all the Spider-Man films

“If they’re as advanced as you suggest” Holy shit lady, dude just attached metallic tentacles to his spine and is controlling them with his mind. I’d say that’s pretty damn advanced.

I always liked how the crowd winces when the needles go in....despite the fact that they would have no idea that the needles exist or that they went into Octavius' spine, because he's facing them.

Seeing Tobey’s Peter and Doc Ock interact was very amazing.

0:17 That half dead inside laugh was perfectly nailed by the crowd.

Who would have imagined 17 years later we would all lose our absolute shit at the return of Dr. Octavius with one simple line "hello Peter"

I like how the woman asks the question about the arms taking over control, thus foreshadowing the main conflict in the movie, despite the fact she literally just learned about the technology.

"if the arms are advanced as you suggest couldnt that make you vulnerable to them?"

"yes in a couple of minutes"

Can we take a moment to talk about how strong he must’ve been? He was standing with all 4 of the arms in the air
