Nice video and commentary on these lenses! Spot on! There are so so many good lens choices out there and the majority of us don’t really need technical perfection in our lenses. No one will ever look at a photo and say “oh he used a Voigtlander on this one” or “he used a Leica on that one”. Nearly impossible for most people to even know what lens at all was used. Important thing is to just take what we have and keep creating!

Love your reasons for the color skopar. I have the Nokton (the little one) and it is really nice. I don’t really like big, heavy lenses myself and now use primes almost all the time because of this.

I have that Voigtlander 2.5 Color Skopar on my Leica M4 and I love the size of the lens and results are great. I have thought about a Zeiss 35mm lens but maybe when I can afford it.

You'll get there some day, being able to own that Leica lens you want. Give it time. Work on your photography (which, judging by the frames on your wall is great!) and have fun with your Leica M body!
