NEW Audi Q5 Sportback 2021 review: style over substance?

The all-new Q5 Sportback might not be as sporty as its name suggests, but it shows that these coupe-like SUVs aren't as impractical as they look.

Some numbers: the Q5 Sportback is only 2mm shorter than the regular Q5, while headroom is down by just 6mm. Boot space? 510 litres, which is only 10 litres shy of the regular SUV. That also puts the Q5 Sportback in the middle of its rivals, with the BMW X4 being a little bit bigger and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe being a tad smaller. And, of course, there are a bunch of engines ranging from efficient 2.0-litre units to punchy diesels available in the sportier SQ5 Sportback. There's also a PHEV that offers 38 miles of electric-only running. But is it really worth £2,500 over the base Q5?

Great review. Interesting though, I have been having a close look at the Q4 e Tron, which has a smaller external footprint, but has a slightly bigger boot and seems to have much more internal space than the Q5. Go figure!
