Just finished this one myself (not in this scheme). I had the same build issues as you (Wheels up, canopy and air brake closed). I got it mostly painted and it just wore me out. It took me 3 months to get back to it to finish the decals, weathering and final varnish. It's not a bad kit, but there are issues that need sorting that aren't the 'fun' kind of sorting! You get to the point you just want to see it gone!

Having said that, now it's done and up on display, it looks good and I am glad I did it!

Looks great Mark, really useful info regarding the problems with the kit. I have it in both 48th & 72 scale . Was thinking of getting the black jack one from Revell. We could do with a Tamiya grade kit of this bird. Anyway great video as usual.

We need a new Tamiya or Airfix large scale Tornado and Typhoon. Airfix really should have the best kits and choices of RAF aircraft.

1/72 xtradecal set has same issues, too small on the canards and easily ripped on the bottom, great tip leaving this bits off the bottom 👍

That’s a bit of a let down. Surprised the Xtradecal set was no good as they’re usually pretty good. Sound like you need to build another Tornado!!😂😂

it has a problem with water
