I'm British and visited Washington DC to pay my respects at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Everyone was respectful, including the many Americans there. That should be reciprocated in London.

During WWII, my dad was stationed in England as a B-17 pilot. He visited Buckingham Palace. When my dad stopped at a Guard Hut. He was very surprised when a Guard saluted my dad. That memory stuck with him the rest of his life.

I can not understand why grown people act like fools with so much disrespect! Signs are everywhere warning people, not to do certain things. Yet they act like they can't read. These young men and women deserve the respect of all the public!! And their position!

I just don’t understand people nowadays. I was in the United States Air Force and I was TDY in England and I had the day off and I went to watch the changing of the Guards and I was so impressed by their professionalism and their every move. We have also a great military but these Guards were very professional and you could tell that they had put in countless time and effort to make every move look flawless. From an old United States Air Force vet I can’t say anything negative about these Guards. Very impressive.
