What was the point of cutting down that particular tree?

Jesus people, because that’s what we do for a living. As an arborist myself, I love trees and often try to suggest pruning it back but that doesn’t always cut it. Maybe the homeowner has a construction project in the works? Maybe the root system is causing foundation issues on a building or driveway—there’s a ton of reasons.

Where did you learn that weird trick with stacking wedges? Putting all of the pressure point on one point? You want to spread the load across the tree so it doesn't split out if that one wedge splits out the tree can come back at you not safe partice. Always use multiple wedges. I don't know where you learned that trick but that is very unsafe.

It’s that simple, nobody does it for fun…

80% of the trees I remove are totally healthy. Just works out like that.
When someone needs your skills, you just do it.
