As a CAPETONIAN, I simply trust my well-being in the hands of this current WC GOVERNMENT, DEFFINITLY NOT in the hands of this current national government, AIKONA.

Why can’t the other provinces do the same? The WC government is so much more efficient in all aspects. The other governments should try to follow their lead or learn from them to improve the lives of their citizens.

Put solar on school roofs. 4 times a year they don't use power running into 5 months😮 and when they are, they really only run half day. Same with universities and colleges. Lots of roofs

Word of caution:!
This is the kind of information that's not provided to the public in general.
Be carefull before installing a solar system:
(This is based on my own experience.)

Reasons:

1. A new Circuit breaker will have to be installed that is dedicated to a solar system and will cost you almost R1000.00 a month, every month.
2. The City Council will purchase all excess solar power produced by your system at a set price which they then will sell on to the public at double what they paid You.
3. When You run out of sunlight and your battery backup is depleted, you'll be charged at 10x the price for a kW of power, i.e. if 1kw of power may costs approximately R2.00, and you'll be charged R20.00 for 1 kW.
(Rates paid by Municipalities and associated conditions may vary in different Municipalities.)
