Henrico Officials Discuss Plan for I-64 Improvements in Short Pump

With an initial approval by the Federal Highway Administration, Henrico County will soon begin a detailed design of a series of improvements to Interstate 64 in Short Pump. The county's project includes a new interchange at North Gayton Road and a modified interchange at West Broad Street.

At a June 13 news conference, officials thanked state and federal officials and highlighted how the project would ease traffic congestion and improve safety along the bustling corridor of western Henrico.
