Give Virtanen more ice time. He's finally ready

I've been hating on this Pettersson kid because of how many Canucks fans worship and drool over him, but the kids damn good.

Pettersson's brilliance with the puck aside, Jake Virtanen was a guy who I'd "left for dead" so to speak. I haven't been impressed in the slightest in the past, not even with his physical game. His defensive game is solid, but that's not really what he was drafted for. A faster Manny Malhotra who can't take faceoffs? Meh. But this year, he's been playing like he has a chip on his shoulder and while his numbers aren't spectacular, he's at least noticeable out there nearly every game. He's out there trying to make a difference any way he can. Did someone room this guy with Bo in training camp? If he can put in the same level of work and committment to getting better that Bo has, I now believe he'll be just fine. A 15-20 goal, 40 point power forward with speed who can play defensive hockey. Those are not dime a dozen players. He's probably not going to be Bertuzzi or Neely, but he's proving he belongs and can be a valuable member of the team.

Virtanen calling for it and skating miles. Roussel Virtanen Schaller line would be nice to see. Finally starting to see that wrister in the show. Boeser the assist man? Also watch how responsible Petterssen is on the back checks

Brock will find his way. Virtanen needs to play like this every night. Peterson is gold. Nice to see better support in front of the net for Maelstrom.

As a goalie and a clean player, it makes me sad to see Schaller jam at Duby's pads in the 1st. I don't want people associating that with the 'Nucks. :/
But WOW it's good to have Petterson back!
