I've had a Taser JL Mini for two years now and always wondered what the heck that PIN setting was all about. I bought it for wheel and tire settings (37's) and ignored about everything else. This was super useful info and I appreciate you taking the time to share man!

I updated my Tazer JL lite to mini when I got ORACLE tail lights for Christmas. The LED tail didn't work until I changed setting to LED. I have used it for tire size and pressure changes. I don't leave it plugged in but I may after hearing of a couple of these feature you pointed out. Thanks for another great video!!

Great video. In the process of buying my first Wrangler and the blackout mode is something specifically ive been thinking of trying to figure out. Running that with an IR lightbar will make driving with night vision a much easier option!! Thanks for the video!

Great info! I just installed a JL Mini in my ‘22 JTR. Programming to a little getting used to, but its not that bad once you get the hang of it. I’m slowly doing mods to my Gladiator. I purchased some Oracle taillights to replace the “butt ugly” halogen taillights. I found out quickly that the lights were not compatible with my JL until I changed the setting in the computer(or got some resistors) I opted for the JL Mini because it allows me to change the settings as I mod my rig. Great tool!

I wish they would come out with a Bluetooth edition that would allow you to control and configure it via an app. I have one and like it overall, but am not a fan of the interface. I also REALLY want them to enable turn assist for the 4xe.

The home link buttons aren’t active after the vehicle is shut off because if someone breaks into your Jeep they can open your garage if it’s parked outside and gain access to your home very easily. Same as if you leave a garage door opener in plain sight (visor) and park your car outside you are asking for trouble.

On my Grand Cherokee Trailhawk the start-stop defeat was the reason I bought it. The TMPS threshold and tire change values are also very worthwhile, as is the satnav entry feature. Expensive but very well worth it. No real use for the PIN feature or the backup camera with turn signal, however.

Yes, we have the same thing in the US. You leave the fob in the car or you leave the car running and get out, the car honks at you.

Great video. As soon as I saw they added the pin, I updated my tazer. Only issue I've found is I often forget about the pin, put the Gladiator in drive and it locks down. Of course I just then add the pin and drive off. A few times though, if I take too long the ABS and Traction control light stays on. Also, jumping in and out with the key in your pocket get annoying sometimes. But, over all a valuable feature that I am happy they added.

My 2013 Focus ST honked when I got out and left it running but my 2021 JT doesn't and I'm actually pretty happy about it lol
