Star Wars: Dark Forces Remastered - 01 Secret Base - All Secrets No Commentary Gameplay

No Commentary gameplay of the first mission from the Star Wars: Dark Forces Remastered version from Nightdive Studios. I will not be playing it in full for the time being, I literally uploaded a full playthrough using The Force Engine about a year ago.

This remastered version contains higher definition assets, hardware acceleration, controller support, completely redone cutscenes and even cut content. It is a good remaster, but I don't know if it is my computer, but the framerate is jittery, it doesn't really feel like 60fps at all, and the mouse input also suffers a bit. Also, please stick to the OPL2 soundtrack, the other one is butchered and doesn't sound right at all.

However, this release costs 29€ here in EU, which sounds a bit too much for me, if it also sounds like at bit too much for you, I'd wait for a sale and stick to The Force Engine for the time being. (It's author helped Nightdive with the port so...)

Gameplay sin comentar de la primera misión de Star Wars: Dark Forces Remastered de Nightdive Studios. No voy a jugarlo al completo por el momento, hace literalmente cosa de un año subí un playthrough completo con The Force Engine.

Esta versión remasterizada contiene assets en alta definición, aceleración por hardware, soporte para mandos, cutscenes completamente reconstruidas e incluso contenido que fue descartado. Es un buen remaster, pero no sé si es mi ordenador, pero el framerate no se siente bien, no se ve como 60fps, y el aporte del ratón sufre un poco en consecuencia. Además, ceñíos a la banda sonora OPL2, ya que la otra la han mutilado y no suena bien.

Este lanzamiento cuesta 29€ en EU, que la verdad se me hace un poco carillo, si tambien te parece que es un poco de más a ti, yo esperaría a las ofertas y me ceñiría a The Force Engine de momento. (Su autor ayudó a los chicos de Nightdive con este port, así que...)

How did you find it compared to The Force Engine? Not planning to buy it anytime soon as it doesnt seems to be worth for someone that has already played it, but im curious if the quality of life updates make it somewhat worth.

Don't take this personally, but since the remaster is out, I would love if DSP played just to see him get his ass kicked. I'd laugh all the way to the freaking bank and it would be one of the best This is How You Don't Plays of all time.

What does this version do that the free source port "The Force Engine" dosent already do ?

I can kind of understand the inflated price point for the Turok 3 remaster from what I understand they had to do a lot reverse engineering code work etc etc but for this? Basically $30?? NO WAY... the game itself is nothing special anyways remaster or not. Same for Turok 3.... I sense a disturbance in the ATARI
