for all those stuck with the the error : couldnt locate the jdk<version name > heres the solution:sudo add-apt-repository ppa:openjdk-r/ppa
then
sudo apt-get update

been looking for a tutorial that worked forever, thank god for this guy. Actually works. Does it work for java 8u5 too? and if it does i just replace the openjdk-7-jdk to openjdk-8u5-jdk right?

I just get this thrown at me at the first terminal command:

Hello, I installed jdk 7 but when I check the version it shows "1.6.0_30" and also IcedTea version is 1.13.1 whereas in your video it is 2.3.10. How do I correct it ?
