If you have a terrific memory, you may remember I posted a preview of this video back in December 2010. That's how old this video is! I was sifting through my Sony Vegas project files when I recieved my new laptop a few weeks ago and saw "Gettin' in the Mood" sitting there, half completed. I had always intended to finish it back in 2010, however, I didn't allow myself enough time in the lead-up to Christmas. And then last year I spent Christmas in America, so therefore was not making videos in December. So, here it is, two years later- FINALLY COMPLETED.

The worst part of picking this video up again after two years is that I haven't seen any of these films in, you guessed it, TWO YEARS. It made working on this video again quite difficult. Luckily a couple of them are Christmas staples in my household, however, most of them are not. In case you were wondering, those staples are; Jingle All the Way and The Santa Clause. To help the editing process, I removed "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" from the original video and added in "Elf"- which I only saw for the first time very recently.

It felt incredibly strange to be editing modern films again! It's been absolutely forever since I made a video about something completely unrelated to Old Hollywood! Speaking of, I've been watching a lot of Classic Christmas films this year (you can follow the progress of which on my Tumblr) and I think next year I'll make a tribute to the Christmas Classics. If you're looking for some older Christmas films to watch, I highly recommend the following; It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut, Remember the Night, The Bishop's Wife, Bachelor Mother, Holiday Affair and I'll Be Seeing You.
