I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I spent years searching for answers to explain my weird symptoms and severe chronic pain. Even the Mayo Clinic misdiagnosed me. I was finally diagnosed at 37 years old by a geneticist at a prestigious university.
It was bittersweet - happy to finally have an answer, but sad that there is no treatment. And it’s degenerative despite it being a genetic disorder. I became fully disabled at 42.

I’ve lost everything, including my career, marriage, family and friends.

I’m so glad these folks seem to have strong support systems and are surrounded by love! ❤

These people are all just amazing. Their strength and courage to face a world where everyone is so obsessed with image is just incredible. They make the best of what they were dealt and I think they’re pretty flipping brilliant! ❤

This video touched me so much! And Ollie! This is so hard to believe! I am 57 years old. On August 14, 2014, I suffered a traumatic brain injury(TBI) which greatly changed my life. This was the day before Ollie (or is it Olly) was born. How is he now? And how are his parents? I want to pray for him and his family. I know this has to be such a struggle.

I have always made a personal goal to never complain or whine about how I look or what I have and it makes me sick when I see others do that when they are people out here with real problem's

For the LIFE of me i do not understand judging or saying anything at all to or about anyone with a physical appearance different than mine. I double dog dare any internet troll that engages in this behavior to come here and explain their behavior. 🦋

I don't understand people who make fun of these people. Like they asked to be born like this just to give people something to talk about, poke fun at, and just downright in some cases, torment them. I sort of know how it feels. I have what's called bradydactyly (not sure of spelling) but anyway, my thumbs are very wide. I have, my whole life, tried to hide them cuz people say, "oh, u have fat thumbs" or "why do u have such wide thumbs?" I feel like telling them, "well, I wanted to be born like this so it would give people something to make fun of"... yes, it's only my thumbs and so far from what these people are dealing with but we use our hands everyday and for everything and I just hate for others to see them BECUZ they are not normal looking thumbs.

I bet Tiffany has a milder form of
progeria, seeing that she doesn't have the major physical attributes of people with progeria, and that her and her brother both surpassed the normal age expectancy. I wonder of they could use some of her DNA to do more research on tjr disorder 🤔. Healthy thoughts to her and the rest of the people on this list

The bodys ability to turn against itself is both mind-boggling and scary; peace b t u all an hopefully ull find a cure soon(whilst those around u, apply the Golden Rule an show both tolerance, dignity and acceptance; (in the knowledge that ANY kind of life-affirming affliction, could so easily have befallen THEM instead).
Keep safe an well loved u dear 1s.

ALS is not a rare disease. Life expectancy normally 5 years. Steven Hawking had a different type of ALS that does not end life after 5 years.
