That Mac design is pretty cool. I would’ve never noticed.

I always close the locking pliers with just a kiss of tension so they stay closed in the tool box.

Great video as usual CP,

You should make an absolute must have basic tool list.

Great video! I'm glad that someone finally stood up to say that Knipex isn't always the greatest.

I always use locking pliers to hold the backs of sway bar end links. The eagle grips or snap on rebranded ones are the best I’ve used. The older snap on and any of the other tool truck brands that you get in kits are absolute garbage

Waiting for Malco “Eagle Grip” to make smaller versions like 6, 5, & 4 inch lengths. Great Tool.
In both regular and needle nose including
Bent needle nose.

I bought Knipex vice grip this week and I like them so far. I belt mine is a little smaller size than yours and only one jaw has a curve in it
The main thing that I like about them is when you release the Handel they don’t go flying out of your hand.
Yes I would like to see another video on vice grips.

Hello again CP
Thank you for another Great Video. There's another name to be added to the list. Walmart's Hart tools also have a pliers wrench. For the price of about $6.00. Now are they any good? Again thank you

MALCO eagle grips are the nicest and have proven to perform at the top.
Nice doesn't always factor into functional quality, but Eagle grips are definitely the nicest.

I think the Knipex might actually be made for them by Bollmann Selzer .

BTW, to keep your locking pliers from popping open you've gotta tighten them up until they kind of snap closed a bit.

Gedore makes a pair like the knipex locking pliers

Just picked up the matco 8 piece set w/ bag and beanie (I think 8 piece can't remember) blue handle lock release, I think they are rebranded malco? But I've had good luck with them so far, nice tight grip

Think you will find curved jaw locking pliers have cutter and straight jaw doesn't.

Are the teeth on the top jaw of the Knipex worn down?

I have been really wanting to try some Knipex pliers wrenches. But I can't find any videos of someone using them in a high toque application. I was thinking about using them for breaking loose outer tie rods. I really had trouble getting mine loose recently. Open end of a standard length wrench was not working. I see a lot of people recommend the Bacho/snap on pipe wrench for stuff like that. But was thinking the large size pliers wrench might be good for that type of thing. I just need something longer that has the torque for a situation where you need an open end to engage the fastener.
