5 Drinking Straw Hacks You SHOULD Know

In this video I share with you 5 drinking drinking straw hacks. Straws are very versatile and can be used in many different situations other than for drinking.

The first straw idea that I show you is how to make a picture frame out of straw and some string. This is a very crafty idea for the diy person in your home, that's easy to implement and the results can look really good.

The second trick I demonstrate is how to make a compass. Though not really a compass you can use this hack to make circles of varying diameters. And it's useful if you don't have a compass but need to make circles for either math class or any craft idea that involves making circles.

The third life hack I show you is very useful because it protects your valuable wood tables when setting cold to mildly hot object on it. It's a homemade cup coaster made completely from straw and some hot glue. It will protect against moisture damage that cups leave behind when set on a wooden surface like a table. Plus it prevents against moisture ring stains.

The third straw life hack is perhaps the most valuable of the five because it applies to practically everyone. We've all had cords such as a for headphones or a computer adapter cable that have been damaged and fraying near the end where most movement occurs. This back and forth movement over time breaks down the wire and makes it unusable. But by using some straw and a rubber band we can extend the prevent any fraying and damage to the cable where it most often occurs.

And fifth I show you how to vacuum seal a zip-lock bag with a straw and keep anything inside of it fresher for longer. In this case I used an apple but you can use it on other fruit or even sandwiches or deli-meat.
