Donald Trump announces he is capping the cost of insulin to $35 a month for Medicare enrollees

Donald Trump has announced he is capping the cost insulin for American seniors enrolled in the Medicare programme.

The initiative will apply to the 1 in 3 Medicare enrollees who have diabetes and accounts for almost a 66 per cent reduction in cost.

The plan, effective from January 2021, will save seniors approximately 56 per cent or an average of $446 each year in insulin co-pays, said Seema Verma, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Medicare doesn't just help senior citizens, some people with didabilities also receive Medicare so this cap on insulin will help them too.

I am Type 1 and pay $400 per pick up with Medicare and purchased insurance at $220 a month. Plus I take two insulin’s. Short and long acting. I hear the words. Let’s see the action. Ppl in other countries do not pay these prices.
