Thanks so much for watching! What are you thoughts on Angela Anaconda? Were you a fan of the show or were you never into it for one reason or another?

I don;t remember if I liked the show or not, but I DO remember it. For better or for worse, this show stays with you.

Remember? Angela Anaconda has been running in the back of my mind with Pepper Anne, Brace Face, and The Weekenders for nearly 30 years

Wow! Thank you so much for the shoutout and credit. One of my followers passed this along to me earlier today. Awesome video! I loved your editing, especially how you interspersed those clips of the old ads and promos. I greatly appreciated your respect for the creative team, acknowledgement of the many positive things about the series and the way you shared honest constructive thoughts about the show’s flaws and infamous reputation. I’ve said for years that if there was truly nothing of value in this show, we would not be talking about it 20+ years later. I know people are sick of reboots but I still think this one would be a very good one to do and hope to make that someday.

I just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

I ADORED Angela Anaconda growing up and it still holds a very special place in my heart at 30. It was one of the best cartoons to emerge from the Oh Yeah, Cartoon/Kablam Era, which I miss SO much. The animation isn't everyone's cup of tea but I love it. I like the way dark humor mixes well with all the zaniness. Angela wasn't a boring Mary Sue nor was she an absolute Demon. She was a realistic kid and hilarious so it was easy to root for her. The other kids weren't static, boring characters either. They did cover the typical roles and cliches of types of kids in school but they made the roles their own. And Nanette was insufferable even with her very few redeeming qualities . She didn't deserve to be put in a SAW trap or set on fire like Angela liked fantasize about but she definitely could've used a suckerpunch or two. Also, I didn't know about Digimon's connection to the show. I was a Pokemon kid and going to the movies was a rare treat back then but I learned something new. And I'll definitely check out Amazzon's channel. We need people like them to preserve content that's not as prioritized by mainstream archivsts. Merry Fringmas, man.

This video unlocked years of suppressed memories I didn't know I had - I grew up watching this show.

I watched the Digimon Movie as a kid. The real question is: how can I *forget* Angela Anaconda?

I remember watching the Latin-American dubbed version of this show when I was young, and to say the least, her VA really captured Angela's "unique" voice, so much that my mom use to tell me to change channels if she was around.

I used to LOVE Angela Anaconda as a kid, I have memories of watching the show and just relating to her on a different level and understood her feelings and why she was the way she was. As I got older I forgot what the show was called but I always remembered her. Then, thanks to the internet, I saw something about the show years ago and my heart grew warm. I don’t remember the episodes as I’m now 34 and have never rewatched it, but just seeing an image of Angela makes me remember how much I enjoyed the show as a kid and how she made me feel like I was being seen and that I wasn’t alone.

I was able to notice that teenage anxiety and surrealism when it came out (in addition to Angela's redundant employment of the English language), and that is what made the show interesting to me as a kid. Never understood the hate for it.

This show's art style used to terrify me as a kid.

If you put the Monty Python theme over an episode, and end it with a giant foot coming down, this makes way more sense.

As a kid, the animation style creeped me out (which was made worse by the fact that the theme song ended with her addressing the audience with her "and now today's story, starring me..." speech. Though my mom always put it on (If I remember right, I couldn't put my finger on why I hated the art style so I couldn't explain what was wrong with it and decided not to say how I felt) so I got used to it.

There's a ridiculous amount of hate for this show in the animation community, but it really seems like they never watched the show. The writing on this show and comedy style is severely underrated. It was irreverent comedy before that became the norm in the 00s.

As someone born in 1995, I saw Angela Anaconda when I was a little kid. Until just now I completely forgot her name, and thus the name of the show, but the image of Angela herself has lived in my head for years lol I remember not disliking the show and sticking around when it was on, but I also wasn't upset when it stopped airing either. I thought it was fine. I kinda want to see a little bit again now.

Genuinely loved the trip into my past you took me on. Knew one kid back then who thought the art was terrifying. I also remember it being no one elses favorite show, but I was a loyal fan since my parents and school schedule let me. I can still hear the theme song.

It’s so interesting how I can’t remember if I liked or disliked it but I’ve never forgotten it and that says a lot. If I was a paid artist I’d rather focus on making something memorable than something popular

Being able to look back it's so clear how much not only this show but so many others really focused on 1950s nostalgia throughout the 90s. It makes sense especially since currently we're in a period where 80s nostalgia has been so popular honestly since the 2000s in so many different ways. Since I grew up in the 90s and clearly remember this show - and also a lot of the ads for Nick at Nite that followed the same type of look and aesthetic, I have so much love for it in generally. I'm sure there has to be a specific name for it (similar to a lot of design choices like Global Village Coffeehouse were in that time period) but it gives me such a warm cozy feeling, like keeping the old media around with the new and mashing them together. I say that generally - I haven't seen this show in decades since it would air on Nick and remember just watching it because it was on, but as an aesthetic piece of art itself, I appreciate it.

This show was very surreal to younger me, and I was convinced that I'd imagined it for years. While the animation style was unique, it had elements that clearly weren't child friendly, namely Angela's sadistic imagination spots, and Angela's teachers and her husband being nudists in one episode.
