UBC Campus Tour || University of British Columbia Vancouver

Hi friends! I filmed this UBC campus tour back in February during reading break. I know a lot of you are probably not able to have an in person campus tour (especially right now!), and I really hope that this is helpful to you! The University of British Columbia campus is really big so I wasn’t able to show you all of it but I tried to show you most of the main areas. I just want to say thank you for this video. I've been sick for almost 7 years, so my university experience has been on hold. It looks like I've recovered enough to maybe go to UBC next September and I've been chatting with the advisor. But it's been so difficult to keep my chin up and be excited. It's very fascinating for me to see your current-day depiction of the campus, Lina.. nice work (god I was from yr 2000, sshh we're gonna scare some peoples! since we only used cellphones to talk and maybe text.. . we had long lineup queues in libraries just to use email terminals- you'd be lucky if you ran into a newer cpu with Netscape navigator <- what's that )
Getting to feel the visual evolution play out- it's just so nostalgic.
So, for those who can go enjoy it! The vastness, facilities, diversity and natural westcoast setting of UBC uni along with its rolling layout - plus surrounding trails parks and beaches- truly make it a great aesthetic memory and continued landmark to share amongst generations.

Of course this vid gets recommended to me when I would usually be heading back to UBC but won’t because of online classes. Im beginning my final year and as I’m seeing these buildings that had become apart of my everyday these past couple years, all of sudden I realize how much I’m going to miss this campus. As an international student thinking of doing an exchange year here, this was a very helpful and detailed tour!
