"Last year, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)—a group of the world's top economies—decided it was time to crack down on international tax shenanigans through meaningful reform. These legal loopholes allow major tech corporations to move money around on paper through a series of shell corporations in Ireland, Bermuda, and the Netherlands. The companies save big, and "best" of all, it's currently legal! This widespread strategy of moving money around involves two specific tactics better known as the "Dutch Sandwich" and the "Double Irish." Starting February 3, the Task Force on the Digital Economy is set to convene at the OECD's office in Paris to discuss the global corporate response to these potential plans to rein in questionable tax practices. Last week, the OECD published various corporate responses to its initial proposal—needless to say, companies don't want to stop what they're doing...".* How are tech giants like Google responding to this? The word "legal" annoys me. As if it has any connection to ethicality. Laws are made by people, the majority of which are highly self interested. We need to stop using the law as a reference to what is right and wrong and understand it for what it is. A means to secure the conditions to maximize profit.

Ireland, my home, also has a very low corporation tax which the government can afford to keep low by continuously shafting the general population with higher taxes. Companies like IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Intel and Google pay practically nothing to do their dirty business in Ireland and meanwhile the population has suffered the worst unemployment rates by the recession in Europe.

On top of this, the population has been forced by the European Mafia, also known as the Troika, to pay the bills for the risks the banking industry took, on the same terms as the risks taken by the German banks, involving lending money to crooked property developers, all to keep the EU fiat currency flowing. Most of the bailout was accomplished by having Ireland sell its properties to the highest bidders, mostly by rich Saudis affiliated with the Saudi-Bin Laden Corporation.

Thanks to the nanny state in Ireland bailing out big business and keeping them comfy with low tax rates, corporations now have rights well above human beings in Ireland where there are more homeless and poverty stricken people than ever before.

The St. Patrick's Day festivals and parades are all a giant propaganda, public relations sham. Most people forget where all the homeless go on the streets of Dublin when the streets are filled with "Proud to be Irish"; the guards tell them to clear off the streets or they will be locked up.

Wealth inequality is several orders of magnitude worse than before the boom years, with the rich being richer than ever.

This is precisely why I respect TYT so much. They are willing to call out the corrupt practices of anyone, even the company, Google,  that allows their show to reach the masses. When is the last time you saw Fox News or MSNBC do this?
