I spent most of 1981 and 1982 high as a kite. Because movies like this made it a blast. From 1981: Heavy Metal, Scanners, Escape From New York, The Road Warrior (Mad Max 2). From 1982: The Thing, Star Trek 2 (Wrath of Khan), Blade Runner, and Tron. Get high and watch the original Tron... it's trippy.

I rolled my eyes, we're with other friends, and I'm like, "There's a space shuttle in orbit and a 1958 Corvette convertible launches from the bottom.... IN SPACE and FLIES through the atmosphere. The astronaut lands the corvette and drives it to his house.... FROM SPACE.... FROM SPACE. That's how the movie STARTS. YOU suck."
