White House refutes Russia’s account of Black Sea drone incident

Following the Pentagon’s release of video it says shows a Russian jet dropping fuel and clipping a U.S. drone over the Black Sea, the White House said the footage “decimates the Russian lie” about the incident. This is wild to me that the media states "we may never know if it was intentional or not".
In the same video media states that the fighter jet made several passes close by the drone before ultimately clipping one of the propellers and damaging it. Seems pretty intentional to me..

Why do we have a drone flying just off the coast of a warzone and how do we expect it not to be threatening? If the US was in the middle of a war with Mexico and a drone flew right by the border, it too would certainly be shot down. Are we intentionally trying to stir up more tension?
