some of the best times in racing was when everyone had cars that were under 12 seconds, when you could actually just hang out with some friends and wrench on your cars in someone's driveway, run what you brung and if you break it's back to the homies driveway.

Nowadays no one is willing to run unless it's for money and no one is willing to take a L and to be fair I understand that because the cars people are running now cost a arm and a leg to fix.

he's not wrong... back in the day you ran what you brought... if you lost, it was motivation to come back faster... I won many races, I thought I was going to lose. I wouldn't have gotten those W's if I wouldn't have raced because I was scared. We did it because we loved to race, period!

I’m sure it’s different in some areas just based off of geography, but I’ve had too many close calls to do that sh*t anymore. All it takes is one mistake and then boom you’re gone. Maybe if there was a closed off road or something but yeah it’s just too risky in populated areas
