This is what drum machines used to be lol.Hope they continue to upgrade and get larger machines with sampling and voice editing with a larger screen for pattern and song names.

If I were just starting out without a DAW or anything, I would 100% buy this.

I read the specs and this thing would be crazy for making Dubstep and DnB as well. With the IK Synth, and an audio interface you could be into EDM with hardware for those tactile guys.

This drum machine is nearly a perfect piece from everything I can see.

Mine arrived yesterday. Great standalone drummachine with a couple of good drumkits.
I have a question about the midi connectivity. My goal was to program patterns on the RM-100 and record them as midi tracks in my daw.
I can't seem to get it to work. Tried multiple settings in my daw and in the RM-100.
What works is 'live' playing the drum on the RM-100 and record that as midi, but playing the patterns won't record it into midi tracks.
Also, I would like to sync-start the RM-100 with my daw. That also doesn't seem to work.
Do you have any suggestions to get this to work or are these the limitations of the midi connection of the RM-100?

I just purchased one online. When recording a 4 bar loop can you overdub and build a beat up with individual hits. For example, does it allow me to enter bass drum, then loop back and record a snare, loop back to add hi hats..etc etc?

Looks nice! The rhythm patterns, are they regular midi files? Would I be able to import my own? I have thousands I bought from Groove Monkee. Also and most important, will it receive midi as well as transmit?

A word of warning to everyone who wants to use MIDI to transfer presets in the RM-100 to your DAW - THIS DOES NOT WORK. The shop and manufacturer should have been honest about this. There is no point in creating songs on it if you intend to use it with your DAW like this. I would say it works as a rhythm machine for live use at rehearsals but for MIDI it is completely worthless. I am disappointed in the store for not telling the truth about this product. Also customer support sucked big time from Gear4Music. Rock on!
