The Elder is phenomenal ! People bailed on KISS bc they put out two shitty disco albums prior to The Elder - Dynasty and Unmasked - were terrible. After those two albums came out kids in my neighborhood started smashing their KISS records in the streets.

About 15 years ago I pulled that album out to give it a listen since it’s been years that I’ve heard it and after jumping through a few songs I quickly turned it off ran to the bathroom and washed my hands then jumped in the shower and scrubbed my whole body clean. That was a scary day 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This album has grown on me over the last 20 years. Its definitely not horrible. My opinion is that people need to give it more of a chance. Having said that, I can understand where Ace was coming from. Btw this solo's on this album are raw and all around phenomenal!

I was a kiss freak album day it was out i bought, know @ 60, wtf was i thinking genes bass pkaying is at best novist, ace he rules but hes a drunk a misreble drunk, criss idk nuttin, paul, plays rythem guiter fine, i actuly thought thry were my heros they wete part of my bad life choices.
