Sometimes it’s terrifying. Worked in a North Sea oil rig for 3 years and whenever I’d wanna smoke I’d have to go to the point farthest away from the machinery (that’s where our smoking area was) and at night all you would hear would be the waves crashing but sometimes it would go quiet and you’d hear mysterious sounds from the pitch black. It’s spooky

Just seeing the pitch black darkness on the ocean I could only imagine how it was like when the titanic sank :(
