Always loved this movie. Underrated Elmore Leonard adaptation from the great suspense maestro John Frankenheimer. Clarence Williams III and John Glover shine as some real villainous bastards. Roy Scheider is perfect and Ann-Margret glows as usual. Also, Kelly Preston's breasts feature prominently as well as Vanity in prime shape. Worth a watch, folks.

The book and movie are equally great. That isnt usually the case. This movie had it all.

Its strange how roy's character never considered upgrading his home security or at least stashing his gun where no one could find it. Not to mention, how he found the time to, ';work on his car". As for Ann Margret, i felt that there were times in this film where her figure was not used to its potential, such as when she is swimming, and we can barely see her black bathing suit. If she's in a thin lime-green suit, and gets pulled out of the going to be quite a sexy image. Or, how about a scene where shes in a thin nightie, but she wont let unfaithful roy, touch her?? These are missed opportunities.
