The 2024 Range Rover SV ($268,065 starting in Canada, $209,000 starting in the US) is a 607 horsepower luxury SUV that has seen a small power bump for this model year through mild hybridization. It is still powered by a 4.4 L twin-turbo V8 in SV trim, and comes with luxury goodies like massaging seats and semi-aniline leather trimmings. But does the Range Rover SV live up to its expectations based on its price tag? And in this price range, how does it compete with its rather serious competition? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode. SUBSCRIBE!

Every time a manufacturer removes a physical button, an angel loses their wings.

I’m a simple man. I see a ThrottleHouse video, more than likely a car I wouldn’t buy, can’t afford or don’t like and I click it.

As someone who lives a few miles from the LR factory, the clientele for these cars don't care about insurance or purchase price because their cocaine empire is going well enough for those things to not be an issue.

I don't even care about this car. I just like seeing you guys riff on a car. You're the best, most entertaining duo in the biz. Thanks for the fun extra content!

I'm so thankful that Land Rover found a method to make BMW XM owners feel slightly less foolish...

Bringing back A/C controls makes interior look much better

A car that can't even get insurance by it's own manufacturer that set it up for that exact car is crazy 💀

The depreciation on this is going to be like...my entire salary.

A $13, 000 paint job with an SV badge that looks like a sticker that could have cost upwards of 65 cents.

I'm so happy that throttle house finally has gotten to the stage where they can speak their mind about their opinions on vehicles. I want to say thank you to the community, the YouTube community, and everybody at thrall house for their hard work so now we can have real opinions of honest reviewers. And they are all so fair

I wish they would implement pedals into the screen also. That way I can accelerate and brake using my fingers.

Another great video guys, love that it still uses proper V8 not like AMGs using 6 or 4 clynder hybrids, and the paint it is just crazy ;)

The SV in the Range Rover SV stands for Service Visit. That is where it will spend most of its time.

Thomas: Is it filled with a rare noble gas?

Me: Yeah, mine

I have to say, as a person who simply doesn't like SUVs, that this is perfectly gorgeous. I love the simple, smooth surfaces that don't look bulky. I love how it avoids the hack n' slash in-vogue styling, the whole thing being perfectly tailored. The smooth curve of surface around the nose is particularly wonderful. It doesn't look flashy, yet it looks modern. It is a masterful example of substance over trendy style. As the Throttle House guys went on (entertainingly so), I just couldn't stop thinking of how this looks truly like a luxury vehicle in the way that no creased-and-folded Lexus can. I hate SUVs, yet this is a gorgeous, perfect luxury SUV to look at, and I love it for that. Now, Land Rover, please re-instate the proper physical controls. Screens impress zoomers but suck. Oh, and please rise above the rock bottom of the build quality rankings. My Kia and I now sadly step off the soap box and return to real life....

I love this new era of being charged way more for stuff that’s way worse.

I hope that mirror bit was an homage to the californians SNL sketch. @0:52
