Just got one of these today for free. I was dumping scrap steel off at the recycler, and a guy came in with one of these. I asked him what was wrong with it, he told me nothing and fired it up to show me. He replaced this with a battery powered Milwaukee trimmer. Going to try it out today.

Gotta put grease in the gear head at the end of the straight shaft by poking it in with a small dowel. Cup grease regularly

I only use non-ethanol gasoline in mowers and weed eaters. I have found the pure gas lasts over a year with no problems.

Why did u have to change the oil a few times because it was high?? Is the carb cleanable in an ultrasonic cleaner?

Just bought one of these from Home Depot. Pretty nice, but it stutters when mashing the throttle and runs rough at full power. Hoping it’s a break in thing, otherwise it’s going back.

Can't recommend one of these. Purchased new late 2020. Has been back once to dealer due to rough running. Had bad fuel line. It still doesn't run well and under load and has to get warm before it can run just ok. This replaced my 15+ year old 2 stroke Stihl. I would not have gone with the Honda over Stihl knowing what I know now. Can't sell used, would lose too much money after spending a ton for it at the dealer.
