Now, I feel myself boosted because I got aware with this idea of using pose estimation for action recognition in sports and have successfully implemented for various activities in cricket before GCP published it on Youtube and blogs. 😍 LOL

this is what I wanted to do for mobile two years ago because i was often recording myself and then trying to manually adjust based on a video comparison with pros. early attempts simply overlaid opaque videos on top but it didn't really optimize for the individual since your best form won't be exactly like the pros' unless you happen to have the exact same build and similar enough natural preferences. autoML sounds amazing!

why aren't you just use background Subtraktion for detecting the ball? The Background is always the same so this would be a much better choice in my perspective or am i wrong?

I'm sure the scientists at Google are disappointed that the PMs decided to call their cloud pose estimation service, "person detection". Person detection is a simpler task (like object detection), where a person is just detected (a bounding box is predicted, ie. 2 coordinates representing opposite corners of the bounding box, or 1 coordinate + width + height of the bounding box).
