At the very height of the pandemic my wife & I were kicked out of our own home, she ended up going to the hospital the day after with blood pressure issues. But the kicker is we more or less own our home for I inherited it from my father & through it has not yet finished probate I am the only heir & fiduciary, it was a county code officer who was harassing many people in our small & poor rural community. A previous code enforcement officer was fired when it was discovered she was taking bribes from people but many suspect this one is every bit as corrupt, I had installed a small solar panel on our roof & therefore did not have electricity to the panel & he claimed that us not having power to the panel was enough to kick us out, he boarded up our home & is threatening to demolish the house I grew up in & we are having to stay at a friend’s, we have no money & no resources for a lawyer & I have no idea what to do..., I took care of both my parents to their death beds, I gave all my money to their care & now they are gone it feels as if the world is attacking everything that’s left, I just want to take care of my wife & our two little puppies & wish that the world would let us be.

Cancel mortgages. Cancel rent. Give every American a monthly stipend until the pandemic is over

The banks are key...
Landlords have to evict or the banks will foreclose on their mortgages. We bailed the banks out twice in the last 15 years. It's now time for the banks to bail us out. A total moratorium on mortgage payments and tenant evictions until our economy is back to 90% of GDP will work.

I think the next big thing or trend coming globally is going OFF GRID! Perhaps going off grid will solve a lot of problems for people below the poverty line or people who are struggling with renting and paying their mortgages. It will not be easy, and it could possibly prove to be a siesmic shift in the attitude of the society at large but it could work with a little perseverance.
Going off grid could also work as a hedge against these greedy big corporations and banksters with losing a lot of business!

So they lost their jobs, but none of them could get unemployment? What happened to that tax return? What happened to the stimulus check? Maybe they arent showing the full story. I'm sure they should have been able to get unemployment atleast...

Keep printing money and punish those who had the discipline to save.

I hope the government, keep their word and pay off evictions or we are going to have a crisis in America, because the government said stay at home, this is the government fault.

Terrible. It show everyone what happens to the poor when there is no social security safety net. I wouldn’t like to live in the US.

Lol I remember when people were going on strike and not paying their rent when they had the means to. I had a co-worker who was stupid enough to do this mind you we were and still are working so he has the money. He got evicted and was acting all surprised

Get a job at McDonald's!
Wendy's, earn a hard deserved dollar please do it for yourselves.
Mow lawns, write poetry and sell it, anything that can keep a roof over your head. Don't depend on government hand outs. Look where American people are today.
