Newman and Roberts should learn about a subject before commenting on it. A turbo refers to an air pump on an internal combustion engine which boosts power. It is a nonsensical use of the word because electric motors don't have turbos. Regarding Porsche as a competitor, the Taycan is a different kind of car: a 2+2 sports sedan with a base price more than twice that of a Tesla Model S, with a battery range of only 256 miles, compared to 370 for the base Model S. I'm sure it's a great car, but it is not competition. Porsche and others would not be building electric cars today were it not for Tesla leading the way.

Yes, if you have an unending supply of cash, by all means by an inferior tubo electric vehicle for twice the cost. However, you'll wanna keep it in the garage because you only have so much time on the Earth, so you'll be driving your Tesla.
