Calculate Linux is a Gentoo-based distribution with several desktop editions, a cloud and a server edition. The project has published a new version, Calculate 22: "We are pleased to announce the release of Calculate Linux 22. With this new version, you will be able to smoothly update your system after a long period of time. We also ported the Calculate Utilities to Python 3, and set PipeWire as the default sound server. Calculate Linux Desktop featuring the KDE (CLD), Cinnamon (CLDC), LXQt (CLDL), Mate (CLDM) or Xfce (CLDX and CLDXS) desktop, Calculate Directory Server (CDS), Calculate Linux Scratch (CLS) and Calculate Scratch Server (CSS) are now available for download. Changes: added support for long intervals between systems updates - now you can upgrade whenever you want, even if you have not updated your system for a long time; the latest Calculate Utils 3.7 have been fully transitioned to Python 3 and Python 2.7 has been removed from the distribution image; PulseAudio audio has been replaced by PipeWire, you can still select ALSA if this is what you prefer; added Bluetooth support for ALSA.

A new version of Calculate Utils 3.7 has been proposed, completely translated into Python 3.
Python 2.7 is excluded from the base distribution.
PulseAudio sound server replaced with PipeWire multimedia server. The option to select ALSA is retained.
Added Bluetooth support when using ALSA.
Improved support for hardware virtualization based on the Hyper-V hypervisor.
Optimized system performance.
Clementine music player replaced with fork Strawberry.
Revert to using udev for device control instead of the previously forked eudev.

How does it compare with RedCore? I'm newbie to Gentoo based distros. They both offer a GUI installer. Other than that (and they default apps they come with), are there any other noticeable differences?
