When defending yourself or others, you can strike wherever you want, and the Hadith your referencing says to avoid striking the face, not never, and it is referencing a beating, as in a form of discipline or punishment, not self defense. The face is one of the best places to strike if you are trying to stop an attacker, especially the eyes and nose, and someone without specific self defense training won't be able to defend themselves without hitting their attacker in the face, so please fix this message.
