47:25 - Yeah I'm gradually coming around to this idea also of giving them a reasonable allocation at CP.

Give them the Euro Allocation that Lazio, Feyenoord, Atleti will get. 2500-3000 in that south-east corner.

This would come with a few caveats though. The club would need to publicly state that unlike ibrox, opposition fans can attend Celtic Park without fear of being hit with coins, bottles, lighters Also that Celtic as club appreciate that football fortunes come and go and that losing games is part of sport and opposition fans cheering/singing when they win, is part & parcel of the game.

The club could obviously word it better than I just have but that'd be the gist of it. - "Yous cannae take a beating. We're confident of winning but acknowledge there's always a chance of losing and in that case we're willing to take the slagging in the knowledge that it'll only spur us on to do better next time"

You ask, what is his style does he have a brand etc.... But at a club like Livingston, that has a home support of barely 1, 000 fans, what "brand" can they actually afford???

So I think it can be a bit harsh on guys like Robinson at St Mirren, Kettlewell at Motherwell.... to criticise their style of play.

I always remember when Fabio Capello was England manager (highest paid manager in world football at the time I'm sure) and they played San Marino or Luxembourg or one of those nations at Wembley and they only won 2-0. After the game Capello was bemoaning the fact that the opposition had just strung 10 men across their penalty box and even at 1-0 down and 2-0 down, they still showed no attacking intent. Capello was all - "It's not football" blah blah blah, whinge whinge

When this was put to the opposition manager, he said - "Give me the England players for a week and give him my players for a week and I guarantee you it'll be more than 2-0". He was obviously meaning that he'd do better with Capello's resources than Capello was doing and Capello would do worse with his.

Livingston are probably the SPFL equivalent of Luxembourg in terms of playing resources. So what is Martindale actually supposed to do? It's professional sport and results are required and it's his job to go and achieve those results and if he doesn't then he'll be replaced by someone who can go and get those results.

The "fortress" of parkhead would come back in a flash if we actually started to win games.

Theres a brow beaten malaise thats steeped into the fanbase from constant defeat in europe. As soon as we go down a goal we just see the same old story playing out. This isn't helped by the clubs refusal to work in a logical way in the transfer market. They are the ultimate buzz destroyers.

Every time the fans are doing a big yawn of success, Celtic are there to stick their finger right in our gubs, killing it dead.
