Even more evidence of how that stupid movie about him got so many facts wrong. In the portrayal by Jim Carey, he stated in the movie he only got 28%. He got close to half in real life. Only one of the several dramatic fallacies in that movie.

I wish Andy had not died so young.

Not because I'm a fan, but because he would have continued to do more obscene dumb stunts to get people to notice him. It's a tragedy he died so young, and so secured this weird mythical legacy as if he is/was a comedic genius.

He's got no range, no structure, no substance. He's just a crass loser who rode the wave of counterculture out of the 70s where people were at the tail end of breaking down the old forms of media.

Go ahead, Kaufman fans, tell me how I didn't get it. I'll be off enjoying real comedians where the punchline isn't 'haha got you audience, it was all a prank'.
