I think people don't like the song not because it's bad, but because teddy never brings something new, and thats what people want. they don't wanna listen to the same old girl crush sound (or whatever you call it) all the time.

dont get me wrong, girl crush is really nice and cool and I love it, but after having so many people do it, people want new, fresh things. that's (partly) why people loved new jeans so much when they debuted, cause they brought a new sound to kpop, something fresh.

people are not happy with the song/teddy because he's never bringing new, refreshing songs, but always the same (for lack of beter words) old blackpink-sound

I mean, everyone has different tastes right? I think the problem is, Teddy sticks to a very narrow song structure and genre, so if you like it, you'll like all of his songs, but if it's not to your taste, there will be very few songs of his that you like. For example, this style isn't really my taste, so the only blackpink song I really listen to is lovesick girls because its one of the very few ones that's a different vibe

Personally, I just want a song from Teddy that isn’t about or doesn’t have lines about making money or being “top dog” in some shape or form. I like BP as much as the next person, but their music got very old for me very fast as a lot of it is about how cool/hot they are and how rich they are and I honestly though Meow would be a good group and debut to actually try something new and the trailers had me assuming that this song would’ve been Teddy’s take on something similar to New Jeans, especially with the Bigfoot/Sasquatch taught me how to dance trailer.. I thought it was gonna be whimsical and not “i make money coma, coma, coma” ya know? I just feel like he could’ve done something really cool here and he chose to play it safe.

The beats and the lyrics is good though it almost felt like blackpink re-imagined, and the brand logos also felt like it was being shoved on my face. Instead of an mv, the vibes was more like a paid advertisement for blackpink but they refused so teddy hired models in their stead

My opinion on teddy is that Blackpink has great vocals to the instrumentals but the Instrumentals just don't feel developed enough..

The instrumentals are also sounding quite empty.

But the only I can approve is Pink Venom that really has good development.

I'm not saying that he's a bad producer, just gotta work on making less empty dull parts

I like it so much and it’s actually a good song so I don’t know why they’re saying it’s a bad song and I don’t hate teddy bc I like how he produced all of these songs and put so much hard work and effort of creating these songs their just amazing even all those K-pop groups out there are really amusing and inspiring like how do they do this it’s so inspiring that people do the dances and singing of the songs well I love it so much and teddy and all the K-pop and u Sabrina I love u tooo

I think the Teddy hate is over exaggerated but he has gotten very lazy, stale, and uninspired. For example pretty much all of blackpink's title songs are copy and pasted from one another. His true muse is and will always be 2NE1. .

For real, I don’t know much about him, but I’ve listened to a lot of the songs that he’s had a part in producing and all of them have been good and whenever I ask people who say they don’t like him, they really don’t have a reason to give me so I just be confused

The only reason I don’t like meovv is because they have no emotion, they look so cold in the music video and the vibe of the song doesn’t match 😭 it is growing on me though cuz the pre chorus is really catchy
