Man you have been on fire with these front squats!! Smacking out a beltless 160kg+ front squat is no joke, definitely don’t remove yourself from this type of momentum Ivan.

Fitness is very important. Especially at the 30+ age. Running, cycling or swimming... dont forget the heart is the most important muscle in the body.

There's a time for blood and there's a time for heavy weight. I think your body craves both and responds differently to both, but without both stimuli your muscles cannot be complete

I totally agree with you Ivan. It's so important to do cardio as well. I work out with weights 3-4 times a week and run 2-3 times a week. Many people are so afraid of losing muscle right away if they do any form of cardio, well that says alot about their lack of knownledge.

Throw in a full body workout once in a while covering basic core lifts for each body part at a good pace
will certainly improve your fitness and It can also increase your work capacity.

This video commentation content rings so much with me - especially the yawning part - it makes sense to me now. Yet still. It's incorporating a sweetspot the volume + strength to have a better feeling state day to day - which is ultimately your life and very important. Not sure, just good hearing that you actually feel good.

I think the volume is great but it seems like just adding the front squats really made a big difference for you. Ever since you’ve added them back in you’ve been killing it.

Regarding the Long pauses between sets: i cant Find the source right now, but a Professor in Training science once told me that weight Training sessions over 1hr get increasingly uneffictive due to the rising cortisol levels in your Body. So hurrying up in the Training is very important to get the Most out of it (in regards of the Hormones)

Honestly your approach is genius, I find with regular periodization I feel pressure to progress, then my ego gets to me and I still want to go for a rep pr if I'm banged up. With your approach I feel like the pressure is off and I can rehab the ache with lighter weight and pumps while practicing my skill. I can then come back and do the movement sooner and not think I have to bench monday, ohp friday etc. Also the antagonist muscle approach for deciding what needs to be trained based off if the anterior chain is overworked or if the posterior chain is underworked. Slowly but surely man, you're going to change this industry, I see it.

I thought it was just me with the yawning between sets, best I ever felt was when I was running and squatting everyday

I have just noticed this in my routine. I’m still a novice btw, but I felt like 20 reps of 5 sets of just the bar front squats felt way better then 135lb 5x5 front squats. I’ve also been noticing my central nervous system getting fried from constantly trying to hit new numbers on the 5x5s every four days every week. Due to being fatigued and tired, I found myself gravitating towards higher rep ranges at 10+ for all my lifts and I found myself just feeling so much better and feeling like getting such a better workout in.

I’ll have to rework my workout program someday as im starting to go off of the strict program already. Though I’ll have to figure out how to go from 5x5s to higher reps for the barbell movements. I want to condition my body, my tendons, joints, so bad.

Hey man so i have tried doing 30 rep squats of 135 and i got it but the main issue i got was losing blood in the hands It was my biggest issue . Have you exerpinced this . If so how have you delt with it .

This makes so much sense. I never really worked up a sweat or felt satisfied doing just 5x5 compounds, now i've lowered the weight, started doing more reps with lower rest time and incorporated squats after heavy deadlifts (inspired by your videos), and it feels great. My whole body is really working, i'm getting stronger, i'm sweating like crazy and for some reason i have more energy in the gym now aswell. Keep it up man!

It's the same thing with endurance athletes, 80% mileage is easy work 60-70%HR and 20% is anaerobic speed work as the ideal it makes sense it would be similar for weights even if they are different energy systems

I’m somewhat new to training but I myself stumbled upon this “no man’s land” rep idea a while ago. Every morning I do a 3-round body weight circuit - push-ups, pull-ups, and squats (I’m not going to failure - I have a set number of each that I increase each week. This allows the high-rep stuff to not be so strenuous and instead the volume steadily increases). Then I train in the 1-8 rep range later in the day.

How can you squat that much without a belt? It's really impressive ! Also don't know if you already said it but I'm new here, how much do you weigh? You look mighty tall

What you’re taking about with working in a lot of bodyweight work with heavy singles sounds like conjugate principles - you’re training to raise multiple abilities at the same time. For example, you practice “straining” against a heavy single, and then you do fitness/bodybuilding focused work with the hindu squats. Sounds very similar to a Westside approach, where they’d work up to something heavy on max effort, then do supplemental and assistance work to target a weakness and build muscle.
