Albanian spoken in Kosovo and Northern Albania (gheg dialect) uses heavy slang which makes it sound sort of exotic to a foreigner. Words are typically shortened while preserving their meaning but end up with a deeper sound. Let me explain:

The title of this song should write "A je penduar" (Have you repented) in standard albanian. The word "pendu" which means "repented" is the gheg variant which as we can see creates almost an entirely different sound just by removing the extension "ar".

Some of the best Rap music outside of the US comes from remote places like Kosovo. Its slang dialect is perfectly suited for Rap music.

Then you have the genre of artists like Dafina and more recently Era Istrefi which produce a blend of hip hop+folk+pop. They are already gifted just by speaking the beautiful slang, add the melody to it and you have a song that attracts listeners from all around the globe.
