Here is my 8.1.5 Destruction Warlock DPS Guide! In it we will discuss Azerite, Talents, Gearing, Rotation and more for both Mythic + and Raids! Let me know what you think of current Destruction in the comments below!

I like destruction in raid, it's a blast when you know how to use ur infernal but i've never pushed keys as destruction, trying to save infernal for boss makes ur dps so low on trash that almost everything else will do higher damages, even war tank :) . I have the exacts same azerite traits as you, ignition fuse and conch, but popping cataclysm > tumult > etc makes around 35k dps on 3-4 targets and your dps will go lower and lower as long as the fight goes, not to mention that you won't always have time to regenerate shards and get your 30 sec cd as an opener for next pack (and benefit from flashpoint) . Plus, our "insanely strong ST burst" isn't that good when you're playing with rolling havoc * 2, especially on tyrannical week when you'll pop ur cd, BL, reach around 45-50k dps and see that the boss has more than 60% of his health and now that your burst is gone, flashpoint is off the table, you are around 15k dps and the other 2 dps are getting closer, usually with a 2 min cd. Don't get me wrong, i really love destruction which means, doing huge chaos bolt and i wish i had a build with flasphpoint * 3 and crashing chaos *3 to see how far i could go on ST but i don't feel like 3 min cd is a solid option on mm+ when the spec does most of her damages on cd (not gonna talk about that feeling when you have to deal with a boss mechanic when you're on cd)

Worth mentioning that Mortal Coil is slightly more attractive as Destruction versus other specs as it duplicates with Havoc AND grants a Rolling Havoc stack

Question how do you shoot 2 chaos bolts in the same time sometimes instead of once?

When it comes to casting Cataclysm on order for Immolate to not fall off, sometimes you refresh Immolate and then 5 - 10 seconds later, Cataclysm comes off cooldown. Do you immediately cast Cataclysm because of the "casting it on cooldown rule"? or do you wait until the next time you plan to refresh Immolate during the Pandemic window? Not sure what is a newly applied Immolate with Cataclysm, or letting Immolate fall off for a few more seconds while you wait for Cataclysm to come off cooldown. What do you think?

I'm having a hard time with the AOE rotation on trash, sometimes I do well and sometimes i completely miss the boat..do you have any simple tips for AOE trash priority? I know that demo is clearly easier to use and even now still better at AOE despite nerfs, but destro shouldn't be total trash either haha. single target DPS is crazy good using the same gear and azerite pieces compared to my demo build. thanks.

warlock was one of my favorite classes if not my favorite since vanilla up until wotlk ... i leveled to 120 butdropped him because i don't like demonology at all..but im gonna try destruction now

Great Video!. I m not sure about Destruction i m actualy at 397 gear and using as azerite traids 2x chaos inferno 2x crashing chaos and 1x flashpoint and my dps in m+ (10-13 Keys) struggling pretty hard at 13 k overall not sure what i m doing wrong meanwhile my friends on DH are making around 19-24 k with the almost the same Gear feels pretty frustraded

What about using a Voidy for trash etc. with it's cleave attacks. Obv Taunt turned off.

out of the 3 specs considering the current state of warlock, which do you find yourself playing the most currently? It seems that destro has taken a lead somewhat and demo is now 3rd place despite still doing good dps?

What is your filler rotation between cds? Just conflag bolt at 1 shard? Or do you go 2 shards then bolt twice? This is for a pure ST fight where you would not be using havoc, like in M+.
