Short Answer: make it a 350 V-twin, THEN bring it here.

Long Answer: It's not really a *V*-Strom if it has a parallel twin. It's a "P-Strom" and kind and under-gunned late competitor to the Versys 300. I do prefer the alloy wheels and tubeless tires of this one though. Suzuki should have made it a V-twin and 300cc with ABS, and kept the price down to under $5k. That's what is needed if they want to compete with the mfrs. that already have something established here. Settling for a 250 parallel twin instead of a 300 or 350 V-twin was a cop-out. Remember, shoppers will also be considering the CB500x, which is faster than a 250/300, but not as big and clunky as a 650+. 350-500cc is the sweet spot for learner bikes in the US, where we need to be able to maintain 75-80 mph.

I wouldn't kick it out of bed if she comes over BUT. . .I'm afraid it's too little, too late and it neeeds to be $4500 or less.
I like the styling much more than the 650 and 1000. Specially the "real world" wheel sizes (17").
