DIY 18650 Power Bank That Requires No Soldering Or Spot Welding

This is a cool power bank you can make. There is no need for soldering or spot welding. Just place the cells in the box!

I built several of these packs. For my daughters and wife. My wife dropped hers on the carpeted floor and it would no longer work. She denied it but I knew what had happened. When I took it apart the batteries were everywhere. The negative lead was completely out of the case. I charged all eight batteries and put them back in the case after putting the negative lead back in its track in the case. It worked fine. I then pulled out each battery and put a bead of white silicone where under each battery and pushed the battery back in. This bedded the battery so it would not move anymore. This is exactly what I do when I build a 20 volt DeWalt battery pack. I then put a bead of white silicone where each between each battery on the top side. I cannot insure that my wife won’t drop it again but I do not think the batteries will move very much, anymore.

i saw one that with four 21600 type batteries with output of 22.5w. do you got a hand of that? can you do a video about that when you get it?
also.. i saw yours is like 15w ish, do they get hot when charging?

hows the quality of the circuit boards on these diy powerbank, do you think its safe? does it still working until now? im worried that it may malfunction and detonate all the 18650 in it..

I've tried both those powerbanks, and for having 21 cell in the big one, it's weak as can be! And it's really important to have all the cells at the same resistance, or else it can blow up on you.. It doesn't really balance charge the cells, so once now and then, you really need to take them all out and charge them in a quality charger, so they do not get overcharged!!! It's dangerous for a normal dude or woman, you can't just buy and use...
