Giving up hope.. it's so hard to have hope at this point. When I first started teaching, I thought it was going to get easier with more experience, but it feels like it's getting harder and harder every year. More paperwork, more observations, more testing, more data analysis, etc. Too much pressure and stress with no pay raise. I don't know how much longer I can do this.. 😞

I am laughing at his jokes, but I feel terrible about what teachers go through. I'm 65 and when we were in school the teacher had all the control. You behaved, because if the teacher called your parents or said you were acting a fool, it seemed to be a very short ride home. Because you knew you were gonna get you butt whooped. I am so sorry you guys are treated the way you are. You guys are the real heroes. You share knowledge. That should be celebrated and you shouldn't have to pay for supplies. My parent bought all our supplies at the beginning of the school year. My parents were day workers. Which means being a maid and Butler. Domestic workers. I am a big fan of teachers.

Needles to say that student and I became the best of friends
