Iris - Red Bull - Motion Design Logo with Particle FX Eye

A motion graphics piece made in Houdini rendered in redshift and finished in after effects.

Here I turned a Houdini particle research project into a featured Instagram post and sold it for branding purposes, based on a setup learned at Rebelway.

The project started as part of a workshop called; Introduction to Houdini for FX artists an 8-week workshop by Rebelway.

In the second week, we learned a bit more about particles in Houdini, and I started experimenting with a setup from the course and creating an iris motion with a ton of particles.

My original post on Instagram got some traction, and I got approached by Plastik Studios, a Beirut-based studio.

They had a fashion client requesting this work for their social feed, so I created a couple of variations.

After that, I got the chance to work with the same technique on a Red Bull branding assignment, working together with Artbox in Amsterdam.
