How should WWE have booked ECW after this? Let us know in the comments.

I loved watching him wrestle! RVD was so different and unique. Truly "One of a Kind" 🔥

Cena should have turned heel right after that. Cena vs RVD with heel Cena

Then he could later help RVD to turn back to face

No Mercy 2001 was the right time for Van Dam to win the title.

That night the fans threw John cenas shirt back with such a passion and hatred for him and everything he stood for!! 😭🤣

It wasn’t a shocking title win. I saw it coming a mile away. No way Cena was gonna win in the ECW event

Shame he didn’t get proper title run after this win. However sad truth is we know why he lost it was his own fault and by this interview looks same reason why he’s struggling with his words here 🤨🤨 either way what a performer still loved all his in ring performances! RVD!

The plan was for cena to win but they saw how hectic the crowd was which is why the safee route was rvd winning

It was ‘SHOCKING’ over a decade ago. Quit trying to be Fatboy Conrad Tomson and just have some faith in the great content that you have. Toolbox.

I remember being a John cena hustle loyalty respect soulja when I was a little kid, and then quickly throwing all of those wholesome hulkamania style morals and values straight in the garbage as soon as ecw came back 😂😂😂 those dudes will always be my favorite

I never get that slinky thing: "Oh, you boo, that means a reaction, that's good". That is NOT a reaction, that is rejection. Johnny Ace got constantly booed in 2011 not because he was a great heel but because he simply sucked as a character. And Johnny Supercena was mentally buried in ONS2006 not because he is good at what he does!

I'm glad RVD is satisfied with his career and all that, but from a fans perspective that wwe title run soured me on him. Because what happened 2 months later? He got busted with weed, vicodin and steroids and lost both titles. I get he doesn't define himself by championships, which good on him, but wwe trusted him to be the face of the new ecw (as crappy as it turned out) AND to be wwe champion, first and only one ever to hold both titles at the same time, and he threw it away because he couldn't stop getting high.

As much as I hated his character, always gotta give credit to Cena as a performer. Plus he took three of my favourite losses of all time. To RVD, to Punk at MITB, and to Bray Wyatt in the Firefly Funhouse match. I remember when I first heard he was cast in The Suicide Squad I tried telling people it was likely he was going to steal the show and no one believed me until they saw it.
