A look at our two days in the charming, historic city of Wells in Somerset.

After a short drive to our accommodation, the Swan Hotel, we head out into the city to discover Wells's historic Market Place and the Town Hall (including the Tourist Information Office).

Luckily, we are there on Wednesday, Market Day, so we can experience another side of Wells.

From here, we jump to St Cuthbert's church, another feature in the 2007 film Hot Fuzz, which we often reference in this video.

A walk back through the city said to be the smallest in England, a title it vies for with the City of London, before arriving at Cathedral Green.

We discover the monument to 'The last Fighting Tommy' Harry Patch, before moving onto the Chain Gate and Vicar's Row.

We then step into Wells Cathedral for a brief look around; a full video of the Cathedral will follow before we head out back onto the Market Square through the Penniless Porch.

A step through the Bishops's Eye gate and we reach the Bishops Palace and Gardens. After a quick scoot around the outside of the Palace walls, we headed inside to discover more.

We conclude with a few night shots of Wells Market Place.

Thanks so much for watching, and we'd love to hear from you so please leave a comment and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss any of our travels: 🟢-

Oh Lord. I just saw this pop up and I'm delighted! I love everything on your channel, as I hope you know from past comments. But I grew up two miles from Wells and was lucky to do so.

Ironically, I'll have to watch this later because I' m currently in Wells, about to drive to my current home near Axbridge/Cheddar, 25 minutes away. If you ever pass through Somerset again, these two would make a superb and historically riveting episode. Don't let the cheese distract you.

(And that's s sentence I didn't expect to write today).

Hello once again - and another of your delightful videos - although your frequent reference to a movie ( ??? ) had me slightly confused - not being a movie buff myself .
I made quite a few visits to this fascinating and historic location, gosh, any number of times as, an eager Oxford undergrad to later visits with my wife, and always finding something exciting and interesting missed previously !!!!
So, yes, jolly well done - enjoyable and thank you :)
