well this video reminds me of the best time of my life, my childhood
my uncle and aunty used to own the big whitehouse in front of the farm and across from the sandpiper hotel the very end house across from telephone box . they used it as a holiday let but never let it out unless it was for family . i used to spend my summer hols there for 6 weeks with my mother and father and spent many of nights feeding the horses when they got to roam free across the common and used to come up to house. there was also twentymans where i got my icecream wafer after chatting to the minor bird what was there . also right across from the house more or less on other side of road there was a 9 hole putting green . my summer hols were great there flying my kite, trying to fish for tadpoles in the beck also about 6 houses up there was a little chippy . jumping in car trip to silloth for the 1p push penny machines . thank you so much for posting this :)

I have fond memories of Allonby. It seems to be locked in time - and in a good way
