Companies don't own their employees. You can't "steal" employees.

Crowder had this happen when he was taking to dailywire he mentioned he had an amazing social media guy. Dailywire then contacted the social media manager with a job offer. The employee felt it was dirty and told crowder.

A good example of the wrong way to do it.

The company should not dictate what companies employees can come from including friends. Whether employee goes to /accepts offer from another company is the sole unilateral choice of the employee and the only say either company has is what salary, work and conditions they are willing to offer.

Careful now Mr Ramsey. That type of gentleman's agreement has cost some major silicon valley companies big time.

Good way to keep labor rates down in an industry I guess.

As long as you arent hiring people under false pretenses you are never poaching, if they are willing to leave you are saving them

When i worked at walmart we had a subway inside the store, at walmart lowest youd get paid is $10 (.50 for shift differences ) at the time and the highest ive heard of people getting paid at that subway was like $9.15
So i would go get my lunch and while theyre making my sandwich im telling them how to apply to walmart so they can make more money have access to better benefits, more positions to go through more careers to pick from within the company and 9/10 times the person who made my sandwhich was now walking around putting stuff away or workin at a register making $11/hr and had the ability to have paid days off, vacation, could get help through college, insurance,

The guy that owns that subway also owns several more also located in walmarts. 😂 He absolutely hates all Walmart workers, he tried to charge us for silverware and napkins. Pretty sure he told his employees to not even serve us/talk to us because we stole so many of his employees.

I dont feel bad for helping people out of a shitty job into a pretty decent one.

Don’t feel guilty do this often please! It allows the power to tilt back to the labor where we have seen it decline in recent years

Think of it that way:
You may offer them better benefits then they have at their current job, so as long as you do that, you rpovide people with a better perspective!

Also if you have a relationship with that company you might be able to borrow their employee for a project or to teach your guys but if you head hunt from them that is off the table that's one reason to not headhunt from friends

This happened to me recently and I didn’t really know the rule about this. But I figured, I’m a waitress, if a better opportunity comes along I doubt they will have anything against it. Like they know I’m not gonna stick around forever, right? 😅

Companies should never hesitate to headhunt other companies’s employees, even if they are on friendly terms. Doing otherwise artificially depresses wages

Any sort of agreement or understanding between employers not to recruit each other’s employees is a criminal wage fixing conspiracy and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law

If the employees are willing to come over to your company, it means you’ve probably given them better prospects than the company they work for. It’s not something to feel bad about. You’re probably helping families and as an added bonus, putting the hurt on the competition and what could be an unethical company with unfair policies about their employees

At the end of the day. It is all about the money. If you are willing to pay what i need. I am there. Dont feel bad if you are willing to pay 20 percent more then your competitors.

You're doing employees a favour on the whole by helping the market for their skills.

Thoughts on being in a niche market like Landscape Architecture in Houston TX. I have friends at almost every shop. Feel guilty a lot for talking to my college pals team members.
